FAUSTINAIPL Guides

About

Who writes this, and why you should still check our work.

FAUSTINA IPL Guides is published by LaboTest Ltd, the UK company that owns the FAUSTINA® brand and sells the devices. We say that in the first sentence because a comparison site that hides its owner is lying to you by omission, and this category has enough of that already.

The editorial rules this site follows

  1. Suitability before selling. IPL does not suit everyone. Every guide states who it is NOT for (deepest skin tones, red/grey/light blonde hair, pregnancy) before any product link.
  2. Competitors get credit where they win. Our comparison pages name where the Ulike Air 3, Philips Lumea 9000 and Braun Silk-expert Pro 5 are genuinely better. Specs carry the date they were checked and link to the source so you can verify.
  3. Independent voices are linked, not paraphrased into oblivion. Penn Smith's unsponsored review, Natural Kaos's protocol page, and real Reddit threads are linked directly, including the criticism.
  4. No medical claims. These devices are consumer aesthetic devices. Where a condition like rosacea comes up, we describe what light can do for what you see, and tell you to talk to a GP or dermatologist about the condition itself.
  5. Real limits stated plainly. A home device is weaker than a clinic machine. Coarse hair responds slowly. Results take weeks. Any page that forgets this, tell us.
